Shiang Tai paper presentation and equipment exhibition at the IWA-Aspire 2023 “One Water for Smarty City” conference in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, contributed to the sustainability of water management. The benefits proposed included continuous system operation (shutdown and service interruptions are avoided); no water pollution is detected before, during, and after pipeline repairs; factories, workers, and residents’ safety is secured; and cost and time associated with planning and coordination (meetings, schedules, paperwork, lost production, and direct manpower) are reduced, and more importantly carbon reduction.
