Introduction
Shiang Tai Water & Electricity Co., Ltd. was founded in 1993. After a successful collaboration with COSMO of Japan in 2002 in the field of hot tapping technology, Shiang Tai has continued to refine its expertise in waterpipes replacement, using cutting-edge technology with new and creative methods. The company is committed to serving the needs of the industry, including branching (pipe expansion and new pipe connection), installation of running water pipelines, leakage prevention, pipeline freezing construction and other construction projects. Shiang Tai’s mission is to provide customers with continuous water supply services and operations and reduce business production interruptions, including offering the most beneficial customized solutions.
Development and Application of Hot-Tapping Technology
In 2006, we began to upgrade waterpipe hot tapping technology to develop a multisectoral hot tapping project that can offer cross-industry service, such as the gas industry, China Petroleum Industry, science parks, and Formosa Plastics. Since the introduction of hot tapping technology during our collaboration with COSMO in 2002, our business scope has grown from 80% providing technical services for technology factories, 20% providing services for water plants, to 95% providing hot tapping technology services for factories and cleanrooms. So far, many successful cases have been accumulated in many technology factories. In December 2022, we provided TSMC with hot tapping technology advice and assisted in emergency repair projects and received a certificate of appreciation for outstanding performance.

To remain competitive and innovative, we actively research and develop various patents, make patent portfolios and provide new technologies to serve society. At present, we have successfully applied for 4 invention patents and 26 new model patents. At the same time, we also participate in various exhibitions to communicate and interact with peers to keep improving our technical skills. In addition, we are also actively training the young generation, passing on technological inheritance, harnessing the innovative ideas of our young team, and turning them into new sparks, so that we continue to move forward and stay at the forefront of hot tapping cutting-edge technology.
